What inspired you to write this book?
The inspiration to write this book came from a discussion with teenagers. They were sharing a little bit about their childhood abuse after I asked them if they thought of committing suicide. In a room of 12 teenage girls, 6 of them thought of it, let alone attempted it. When I shared a little bit about my childhood sexual abuse, a conversation was born. A year later, it was pressed on my heart to write about my childhood abuse but address teenage suicide.
What topics in your book or background do you think book clubs would find interesting?
Childhood abuse (to include parental abandonment and neglect), teenage suicide, the impact on abuse and suicide in the faith community (to include community as a whole)
